Description
But I would like to be a cat, I would just laze around all day. I wouldn't have to go to school, I wouldn't have homework! I envy cats!" I hear this from my children every morning when they wake up, on their way to school, while doing their homework—in other words, all the time—and to be honest, I often empathize with them and share this realization. But is that really all there is to a cat's life? Just eating, sleeping, and grooming all day long? Péter, the child of strict London parents, unwittingly became a cat person, finding himself thrust into the adventurous and far from peaceful everyday life of free-roaming cats. To form true cat friendships, to fight to the death, to fall in love, to climb the emotional ladder from the depths to the heights. Emotions are the same for cats as they are for us two-legged creatures: sorrow and joy, grief and love can crush us or lift us up, regardless of our fur. So now, every morning on the way to school, my children and I speculate about what happened to our tabby cat wandering on the rooftops during the night!
